Terms of Service

The short version

• day2dayfile is a free, browser-based file converter with optional compression.
• Maximum file size is 30 MB. For bigger files, download the local version.
• The website is supported by ads. The downloaded local version contains no ads.
• You are responsible for the files you choose to convert. Don't convert content you don't have the right to use.
• The service is provided "as is" without warranties.

What we provide

day2dayfile ("we", "the service") provides client-side file conversion and optional compression tools through a web browser, plus an offline ZIP you can download, unzip, and run locally. The web converter is supported by display advertising. The local version contains no ads.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• Convert, compress, or distribute content you do not have the legal right to use, including copyrighted material without permission.
• Process content that is illegal, infringing, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful under applicable law.
• Attempt to interfere with, overload, reverse-engineer for malicious purposes, or circumvent any restrictions of the service (including the 30 MB file size limit).
• Use automated tools to scrape the site or generate ad impressions.

We may refuse service, restrict access, or remove content at our discretion if we believe these terms are being violated.

File size limit

The web converter is capped at 30 MB per file to keep performance reasonable inside a browser. If you need to convert larger files, download the local version, which has no cap.

Advertising

The web version of day2dayfile displays ads served through Google AdSense and may include a short countdown before the local-version download in order to display an ad. By using the site, you acknowledge that ads will be shown. See our Privacy Policy for details on advertising cookies and how to opt out of personalization.

Your files

The converter is built to process files in your browser with browser APIs and bundled local encoders where available. We do not receive, store, or have access to the files you convert. You retain all rights to your files. The local version operates the same way and does not include ad scripts.

No warranty

The service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that conversions will produce a specific result.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will day2dayfile, its operators, or contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising out of your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months - which, for a free service, is zero.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in a court with proper jurisdiction, unless local consumer protection law gives you a non-waivable right to a different forum.
